Adelaide Crapsey…Cinquain

Here is a beautiful cinquain by the developer of this lovely art form, Please see my article on Adelaide Crapsey in Thoughtful Thursdays – Did You Know (13) at: http://sporterhall.wordpress.com/2014.08/21/did-you-know-13/ Enjoy!

Listen.

With faint dry sound,

Like steps of passing ghosts,

The leaves, frost-crisp’d, break from the trees

And fall.

A Dream for Real….

This dream I had, was so incredibly real.

Just like hours before, your embrace I did feel.

You wondered why you feel,

the way that you do about me.

As usual, the answer,

was plain to see.

You told me you had,

such a strong urge to kiss.

We can no longer wait,

to unleash the passion we miss.

I awoke to realize,

it was all in my mind.

Your familiar expression,

was not here for me to find.

A dream or not,

this happened for real.

I guess it’s a reminder,

of all the things for you I feel.
