I once hurt someone who to me was very dear,
so young at the time, overcome with so much fear.
So many years have passed since I broke this brother’s heart,
I only hope he has forgiven me, while making a fresh start.
He was the one and only ~ my first true love,
the feelings that we shared, I now only dream of.
I often wonder how I could have done such a thing,
to a brother who undoubtedly made my heart sing.
I could blame it on m y age, so young at the time,
I just can’t make sense of it, this passionate crime.
However, what goes around does come back around,
for the love this brother gave, I have not again found.
But time does heal and I must forgive me,
and until I do this, I will never be free.
Free to explore and give love again,
knowing another’s heart, I can capture and win.

This was a really nice poem to share my favorite line is… free to explore in love again I think that’s the hardest part about love…. Learning and getting back out there and allowing yourself to love again thank you for sharing

You are welcome! I totally agree with you. The hardest part is getting back out there and allowing yourself to trust again. But life is all about second chances. If at first you don’t succeed, try,try again! So glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
